Dressed to take over

The villain is the best-dressed person in every scene — that's the rule. While the hero gets comfort, the antagonist gets silhouette: long lines, sharp shoulders, leather that catches the light and doesn't apologize. Their wardrobe says what the script can't yet — this person has already decided how the story ends. Dressed for the desert

Festival wardrobe is endurance styling — it has to dance for twelve hours, photograph at golden hour, and survive the dust. Layers that come off as the day heats up, fringe and pins that move with the bass, one cover-up that turns a bodysuit into an exit outfit. Color is non-negotiable here — this is the loudest palette in the archive, coral and turquoise and acid, because the desert is beige and the kid is not. Who qualifies for memo instead of purchase?
Established productions with a COI or a production company reference. First-time indie projects usually start with purchase — which is also the faster path.
What happens if a piece is damaged on set?
Memo converts to purchase at the deposit already on file — no surprise invoices, no negotiation. Every piece is one of one, so damage can't be re-stocked.
What's on a spec card?
Full flat-lay measurements, labeled + fits-like size, era, fabric content, condition grade, weight, provenance note, and 3+ photos including details — continuity-ready.

SPARK + REBEL was founded in 2022 by Monica Ma — stylist, designer, and creative director — as a response to fast fashion rooted in reuse, rebellion, and visual identity. This is not everyday fashion. This is how you show up when blending in isn’t the point.

Today the studio runs two lanes at once: one-of-one wearable art for people who refuse to blend in, and a wardrobe archive that costume designers and music-video stylists pull for the screen. Same pieces, same hands, same rule — once it’s gone, it’s gone.

The studio runs on solar. What we can’t eliminate we offset through certified climate projects (Klima) — reduction first, offsets second. Every purchase supports reforestation via One Tree Planted, and everything ships in responsible packaging.

Styling tips
Shipping & returns
SPARK + REBEL ships from California and offers worldwide shipping. Shipping takes approximately one to two weeks to the US and is free. Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days from the garment’s delivery.
Sustainability
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at SPARK + REBEL. We use sustainable fabrics like organic Desserto cactus leather, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified organic cotton, and recycled and upcycled overstock fabric. Our products are made without animal glues or toxic leather paint, and we offset carbon emissions and plant a tree with each purchase. All garments come in a recyclable box made of post-consumer waste.
Transparency
Our part-time employees in San Diego work in a healthy and fun environment, and are paid 50–100% more than the minimum wage for California. We welcome remote work for sustainable business communications.
